The most pleasant surprise of this season so far have been the Blazers who have won two straight games and eight of their last ten games overall. Portland is currently in 7th place in the Western Conference standings and holds a three-game cushion over Utah for the final playoff spot. Most of the praises for their success need to go out to Damian Lillard who has been just phenomenal this season. Knicks have fallen off pretty bad after a good start and have since parted ways with Fisher. They were hoping to make the playoffs this season but are trailing the last spot by 6.5 games, which can be reachable in the East. This is a game of prolific offense and sloppy defense, so I do expect Portland to focus their game on simply overscoring their opponents. I can easily see this game going over the 206.5 mark. Medium stake for this one. Good Luck.

When healthy, the Bulls have the second most talented roster in the East behind the Cavaliers. Unfortunately, injuries have taken their toll on Fred Hoiberg’s team and Chicago is currently tied with Detroit for the final playoff spot. The Miami Heat have also been playing without Chris Bosh, who remains out indefinitely with a blood clot issue. The Heat scored big when they signed former All-Star SG Joe Johnson for the remainder of the season after he had his contract bought out by Brooklyn. Johnson will give the Heat a boost from behind the three-point arc. Miami has won six of their last ten games overall and currently sit in fourth place in the East. What tips this game is the willingness to compete I saw in this Chicago roster and having Derick Rose back tonight will be a huge boost of energy for them. Miami should be able to close this one out but I do expect a close game. Backing Chicago with the smaller amount seems like a thin value bet for me. Good Luck.

The Suns expected to compete for a playoff spot this season, but things haven't exactly worked out for them. It started badly with them getting hit with the new of Eric Bledsoe season-ending injury and then the team parted ways with head coach Jeff Hornacek. With the saga of the Morris brothers finally over, they can focus on their rebuild and improve as much as they can this season in hopes of landing a free agent in the summer. The Charlotte Hornets weathered a rash of injuries and a brutal stretch of games in late December and early January. Head coach Steve Clifford has done a fantastic job keeping this team together and now the Hornets appear poised to move up in the standings. Charlotte has won seven of their last ten games overall. They should be able to get the things done tonight, but the line seems just a bit too high and there might be a touch of value here. I will back the Suns with the spread and will stake a medium amount on this game. Good Luck.

After appearing in the Western Conference Finals a season ago, the Rockets have been rather mediocre this season. On Tuesday night, the Rockets played without C Dwight Howard (suspension) and still came away with an 115-102 home victory over Miami. The Phoenix Suns have been a disaster this season and management decided to relieve head coach Jeff Hornacek of his duties after just two and a half years with the club. The news got worse for Phoenix when they learned that F T.J. Warren will miss the remainder of the season with a foot injury. I would say with ease that the Rockets got this game bagged up with an easy double digit win. Medium stake for this one. Good Luck.

On Tuesday night, Kobe Bryant exploded for a season-high 38 points during an 119-115 home win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Bryant also connected on seven three-pointers on the evening for the Lakers. But he can't replicate that performance back to back at this stage of his career. And nothing short of the performance like that will win this game for the Lakers. This will be the second of a back to back for New Orleans, who visited San Antonio on Wednesday night. So the fatigue is even, but the talent is nowhere close. I give home tam a double digit win and will be staking this game with a medium stake. Good Luck.

The Toronto Raptors are the darlings of the Eastern Conference. The Raptors are heading to Portland tonight to square off against the hometown Trail Blazer. For as good as Portland has been at home, Toronto has been just as good on the road. This is the matchup of teams on different trajectories. Portland loves to push the ball on offense and lets their athletic backcourt take care of most of the business. With Toronto's improved defense in the way, this could be hard for Portland.
So in that setup, i like the over 204.5 bet and will be staking a smaller amount on this pick. Good Luck.

The Heat have won four of their past five games and they owe it to the amazing form of Dwyane Wade. He has been turning in highlight plays by the handful over the past month. But the loss of starting center Hassan Whiteside, a force on defense and a top rebounder, could be a big deal in this game. Dallas has won two of their past three thanks to Chandler Parsons and a resurgent Dirk Nowitzki. Parsons has evolved into the important scorer many pegged him as and he'll be given the tough task of scoring on hard defender Luol Deng. I do expect a close match, but a home win for Dallas at the end. Small stake for this one. Good Luck.

The Celtics are currently in fourth place in the East and trail the conference-leading Cleveland Cavaliers by 8.5 games. Detroit has started the season really well, but they have fallen off since and are now rapidly losing chances against other teams from the East for a playoff race. Detroit G Jodie Meeks (foot) has been shut down until at least March 1st by head coach Stan Van Gundy. The Pistons and Celtics rank near the middle of the pack in offensive efficiency. Look for Detroit to dominate the glass with Drummond and for Celtics to dominate every other aspect of the game. Good chance for a Boston win. Medium stake for this one. Good Luck.
