Leicester have won their last 5 games. The 2 premier league games they’ve won were well deserved, they destroyed Sunderland on the opening day of the season 4-2. This was a great game to watch from a neutral perspective, and new signing Mahrez made a great start to life in the Premier League with 2 goals. Leicester’s next game was a great victory away at West Ham, they won 2-1 with Mahrez on target again. Leicester currently lie in 2nd place and will no doubt be looking to take advantage of the home advantage. The visitors for the game, Tottenham will be looking to get a result from this game as they’ve only managed to get 1 point from their first 2 games. Their first game was a 1-0 defeat to Man Utd, the 2nd was a 2-2 draw at home to Stoke, a game in which Spurs held a 2 goal lead, however, Stoke brought Ireland on and for me he changed the game. A 78th minute goal from Arnautovic (Penalty) and a Diouf goal in the 83rd minute sealed a point for Stoke. This will be a in interesting match and i cant tip it in either direction. Van Gaal is such a passionate manager that I think this is starting to wear off on his squad. They haven’t played too well in their first 2 league games, however, they have won both and kept clean sheets. I personally thought United would struggle in defense this season having only really brought in Darmian. Both of these teams were really hoping for a win in the first round.
