The game will be McClaren's first competitive fixture at St James' Park, and could see him call on signings of Aleksandar Mitrovic, Chancel Mbemba and Georginio Wijnaldum. Mitrovic is the strongest player of the three and a lot is expected of him. While he recovers from the surgery, Koeman will miss his side's opener against on Saturday. His assistant and brother, Erwin, will take charge at St James's Park. Loads of changes for both teams is the reason i believe defenses still don't have it all together so i predict both to score for this game. Good Luck.

Steve Gerrard and Raheem Sterling are gone but the fresh players are there to replace to void for Liverpool. Signings of Benteke, Ings, Milner, Clyne and Firminio are more than capable in their own right, but the doubt for this year lies again in Brendan Rogers.
