BATE Borisov was a bit lucky to enter the Champions League group stage, winning over two of their three qualifying opponents thanks to a one goal difference. First round game against Leverkusen revealed many weaknesses, as the team got outplayed and suffered 1:4 defeat. They never looked really competitive even though the team temporarily equalized in the 13th minute. Roma, on the other side, took a point in the first round of Champions League group stage, when the Italian side welcomed Barcelona and limited them to a 1:1 draw. It was a good performance for them and now they need to build on it and collect the 3 points here. They will have a tough job doing it, but I think there is enough quality and experience in this Roma squad to achieve that. They should be able to prevail, having in mind big individual quality difference. Medium stake for this one. Good Luck.

First of all, no matter who plays the game and how important it is, to get the line for over 2.5 in Ligue 1 this high should be reason enough for a bet. And this game is something of a gift as well. I know that home side isn't that efficient, but the joker in this game is the Nice squad. They play aggressive football where the are always going for a win and that's the only way I can see them playing tonight as well. I expect them not to bow down, but challenge the home team with aggression and that will spawn a good game, and hopefully loads of goals. I am going with a medium stake for this game. Good Luck.

Total goals over 2.50 goals in ordinary time at odds 2.15

After five rounds played, Inter has all five victories and the team of Roberto Mancini find themselves at the top of the table with three points more than Fiorentina. Fiorentina is getting into this match having three victories in a row and being second at the table. This will be a tough match for both of these teams but a slight edge I give to the home side as they seem to be playing a more consistent football in the back line. The game itself should be quite closed and decided in details. Neither of the teams scores with ease in the new season, but the players of Inter look a bit more fluid with the ball and more consistent. Smaller stake for this one. Good Luck.

I saw a couple of games that Kairat played this season and they are a very strong team. They should have been playing in the Europe League as well this season, the unfortunate goal conceded kept them out of the competition. Today they have a chance to score a direct win for the title against Aktobe, and I think they are more than capable of making it happen. Amazing 10/0/2 home record speaks for itself and to top it off, they are on a hot streak with 11/3/1 in the last 15 games. Aktobe is on the decline of form and it is clearly visible with them losing 2 out of last 5. Odds are just in the sweet spot for this bet and I recommend a medium stake for this one. Good Luck.

Kairat Almaty to win against Aktobe in ordinary time at odds 2.00

This was a winning bet but due to a glitch in posting schedule it was posted after the match had already began, so it will count as voided.

This game is interesting to me because there is not a huge difference in the quality of these squads, but the difference in motivation is very big. The home team desperately needs a win as they sit only a couple of points above relegation zone. They need to win home games till the end of the season to avoid relegation. 5/4/4 home record is not as impressive as it could be and that will need to change if they are to avoid that 15th spot. Away team sits comfortably in the middle of the pack with no chance of for a spot in Asian cups and safely away from the danger zone. I can see the home team win this one on pure intensity alone. Medium stake for this one. Good Luck.

Saints have disappointed in the Premier League this season with just one win to their name. They will hope to put in a good performance in front of their own fans as they look to pull away from the relegation zone. Graziano Pelle is a doubt for Ronald Koeman's side, though should be fit to start for Saints. After an impressive start to the campaign, Swansea have failed to win back-to-back league games. Garry Monk has no pressing injury concerns ahead of the trip to Southampton, but they are coming off a Capital One Cup defeat at Hull on Tuesday, so they are not in the best of forms. I was expecting more from Saints this season and this might be the game to turn things around for them. Smaller stake for this one. Good Luck.

Southampton to win against Swansea City in ordinary time at odds 2.30

Leicester has been doing a great job last couple of years. Mandaric as GM set them off in the right direction a couple of years ago and they haven't looked back since. Today they are ahead of four championship contenders after 6 rounds. They are playing solid football and score more than 2 goals per match. The only area they should improve a bit is the defense, where they are conceding 1.5 goals per game which is not ideal. Arsenal lost to Chelsea last game and they are in the dire need of points. The good thing for them is they do not have to travel for the Champions League bout with Olympiacos on Tuesday so Wenger can even play almost the best squad he has. All the experts are betting on Leicester to win any amount of points today, but I will go in the direction of aggressive football. The home team has the opportunity to attack the visiting squad and I expect them to go all in this game. Lots of goals on bot sides is what I am hoping for. Medium stake for this one. Good Luck.

Huddersfield can be quite happy with their start to the season, they currently have 9 points in 8 games. Chris Powell has done a great job with Huddersfield and I must admit I’m a fan, they play attractive football and they have been deadly in front of goal, which is great. However, Powell will need to work with his team a little more in defense. They’ve struggled this season and looked very shaky at the back, conceding in every game so far. This is obviously their downfall and something that Powell will want to change. I picked this game and reason behind it is that both teams are playing very attacking football at the moment and I think there will be goals in tonight’s game. Huddersfield has home advantage and I expect them to get in on the action while Forest played great vs Boro at the weekend and they have loads of confidence. Medium stake for this one. Good luck.

Both teams to score in ordinary time - yes at odds 1.74

Monaco continues to struggle in the Ligue 1 this season and the latest blow came in the form of a loss to Lorient 3:2. The problem is that this team cannot catch a momentum. They were losing 2:0 before the players even broke a sweat, only to come back just after halftime, but still wasn't enough for a win. They will have to pick up the pace in the coming games, and a visit to the worst team in the league might be the turning point they have been waiting for quite some time now. Usually, I don't bet teams that fell out of the grace of the bookmakers, but I 've been chasing this particular duck for a while now and I am hoping they are not gonna disappoint again. Very good odds of Away win with DNB to cover. I might even consider going high stake for this one. Good Luck.

The second round of Champions League sees an interesting match between Juventus and Sevilla. What is shaping up to be a very tough week for these teams will culminate in their duel on Wednesday, completing a third game in seven days for both sides. After a much-needed win on the side at Genoa, Juventus has to play two very tough games, the second of which is an away game at Napoli. They don't have the luxury of resting the players in these games due to a poor start in the domestic championship, and that leaves them vulnerable in the Champions League bout with Sevilla. The situation is somewhat similar with Sevilla as they are currently holding the last place in Spain. They as well have to play two games where points are a necessity. Since both teams recorded a victory in the first round, a draw here seems like a reasonable result. Where Juventus has the edge of the home pitch and a deeper roster, Sevilla will make up with a desire to do good in Champions League, since they are struggling in the domestic championship. Don't be surprised if it turns out to be a goalless draw on Wednesday. Smaller stake recommended for this one. Good Luck.

Trencin is dominating this year in Fortuna Liga and they already have a 4 point advantage over the nearest competitor, with today's game to spare. One other thing important to mention is that this year is surprisingly overish with goal average well over 2.5. That indicates that aggressive football is being played and that every team can score. Slovan is coming off a bad loss to Zilina which put them in not so great position and they will be looking to bounce back to the championship race. The tough job is ahead of them, but they will press for the win here cause otherwise they can say goodbye to top part of the table. I was thinking of placing an over 4.5 bet but I just find too much value in the odds given for the btts so I will be placing a medium stake on it. Good Luck

Both teams to score in ordinary time - yes at odds 1.67

Tottenham is coming off a win in the opening of the Europa league on Thursday, and with only two days rest they are playing a very important match in the Premier League. 6 points out of 5 games is not a start they were expecting, especially cause they were playing teams that they should have been ahead of by now. Crystal Palace is playing very well this season and they already scalped Chelsea and Villa. They will be coming to collect points today on White Hart Lane, and I have them at even odds with the hosts for the win. Aggressive football is what I am expecting to see today and efficient one as well. Fatigue of the home team and motivation of the visitors is a guarantee we will see goals in this one. Medium stake for this one. Good Luck.

Total goals over 2.50 goals in ordinary time at odds 1.99

This game marks an end of a very tough week for Liverpool. Before the international break, they drew a game against Arsenal and then suffered an embarrassing loss to West Ham. After the break things did not improve and another loss to Man Utd. Europe League draw on Thursday is somewhat of an improvement, but that will need to be confirmed with a win today. Anything other than a win today will be a big problem for Rogers and his squad. They are fatigued, but with a priority for the win. That spells aggressive football for me. Score a couple of goals and then slow the pace down. Norwich is looking solid this year and their games are extremely entertaining to watch. I expect them to play aggressive and try to exploit the state of Liverpool squad. I honestly believe this will be a game riddled with goals. Bigger stake for this one. Good Luck

Total goals over 2.50 goals in ordinary time at odds 1.94

Bad season start for Monaco and they are in the hurry to get back into that championship race. Huge amounts of money have been spent the last couple of years on this Monaco squad and that money needs to be justified trough good results. They had their hurdles, but I think the time for them to start shining has come. The biggest issue with them was the inability to score, and today's opponent is a good defensive team. That spells a tough game for Monaco. They have a pressure to win but are facing a team willing to slow the pace down, almost to a halt. There is good chance that this game opens up and  that we see a  good game with loads of goals cause none of these teams played efficiently lately. The implied odds are good here and I will stake smaller amount. Good Luck.

Total goals over 2.50 goals in ordinary time at odds 2.05

Sint-Etienne is playing very well this season. They had the lead in every game they played so far this season and collected points in 4 out of 5 games so far. 3 wins in a row place a bit of pressure on their shoulders to continue the streak. They host Nantes today, which hasn't been the top of the table team for quite a while. This game is a good chance to place a who scores first type of bet on a home team, but there is no option here for that so I will go with ht/ft win for a home side. Smaller stake for this one. Good Luck.

Half time / Full Time will end with 1 / 1 at odds 2.80

Saturday, September 19, 2015

This is a very difficult game for both of the teams. Aston Villa opened this season with a win but then came unfortunate series of results, culminating in the loss against Leicester after having a two goal lead. That game as heartbreaking as it was can be a good turning point for Villa and they have a very good chance to showcase it today. Although they are injury plagued, I believe that they have the edge in this game. WBA is the team that I expected to struggle maintaining the Premiership status this year and they have been playing accordingly. Their biggest problem is that they are not able to score and if you can't score, you can't win games. Medium stake for this one. Good Luck.

Aston Villa to win against West Bromwich Albion in ordinary time at odds 2.46

Almost all analysts and bookmakers gave up on this Chelsea squad, but I did not. Chelsea had a very poor start in the Premiership. 4 points out of 5 games is really troublesome and a lot of those points were left behind with the teams that are not even close to being contenders. But I think it's just a temporary setback, more a lack of determination and confidence than the lack of skill. They have a very good squad, one of the best coaches in the world and if anybody can turn things around, it is them. Arsenal has 10 points after 5 matches, but I am not impressed at all with the way they've been playing so far. 5 goals in 5 games are far too few for the attacking style Gunners are pushing, which is an indicator that they are still not on their best effort. This game will be a true test for both of the teams, and I believe it to be a turning point for Chelsea squad on their journey back to the top part of the table. Smaller stake for this one. Good Luck
