This is an interesting season opener and right out of the gate, we found a perfect bet to open the new season. Although both teams scored a lot during the warm-up for the season, this is still a game with a lot more pressure on it. Both teams would like to start off this campaign well meaning they would look to win points. What we found is that on average, these teams score 3.06 per game combined. Seeing that punters all of the world are placing large sums on over 2.5, we get great odds on under 3.5 as a result. Traditionally, season-opening games don't produce great coherence between the midfield and forwards, meaning whatever goals get scored will either come from set-pieces or individual prowess of the players. Combining with the debut of Allison between the posts for Liverpool, this is just not a game where many goals should be conceded by the home team.
